Marcella "Marcy" Husak

Marcella "Marcy" Husak, age 83, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-6 p.m. There will be a 6:00 p.m. vigil service at St. Bonaventure Church. Visitation will continue Thursday morning 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in the All Saints Cemetery.

Marcella "Marcy" was born December 30, 1938 in Howells, Nebraska to Charles and Bessie (Hartl) Stepanek. She grew up in Schulyer where she graduated from high school. Marcy was united in marriage to Ludvik Husak on August 20, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler, where they made their home until moving to Columbus, NE in 1966. Along with raising her family Marcy worked at B-D Medical, D-L, Hardys and at Walmart as a greeter. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and was active at the Izaak Walton Club. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed and relied upon the special bond she had with her cat, Mala.

Marcy is survived by: daughter Teresa (Mark) Ellingson of Columbus, NE, son John Husak of Columbus NE, daughter Patricia Rountree of Columbus, NE, son Andrew Husak of Columbus NE, daughter Annette (Keith) Ebert of Silver Creek, NE, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother Orin (Marcia) Stepanek of Columbus, sister Carol (Delvin) Goff of Wyoming , sister-in-law Delphine Stepanek of Fremont, and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded by her parents, husband: Ludvik, siblings: Charles, Ronald, Wylma, Betty, LaQuita "Lucky" and Gladys
