Marcella Greisen

Marcella Greisen, age 92, of Columbus, died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.

Marcella was born November 26, 1923 in Platte County, Nebraska to Henry and Cecilia (Frauendorfer) Wegener. She received her education at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Cornlea. She married Philip J. Greisen on February 21, 1944 near Platte Center where they farmed and were members of St. Anthony Catholic Church in rural Platte Center. They retired in 1981 and moved into Columbus. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed her family, farm life, gardening, growing flowers, especially geraniums. Marcella also enjoyed listening to Lawrence Welk and going to the casinos.
