Magdalene "Maggie" Buresh

Magdalene J. “Maggie” Buresh, age 96, died Friday, May 29, 2026, at Prairie Village Retirement Center in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial is pending.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Isidore Church.

Magdalene J. “Maggie” Buresh was born February 4, 1930, to Joseph H. and Louise (Bogner) Hegemann on a farm near Lindsay. She attended and graduated from Lindsay Holy Family High School. Maggie was united in marriage to Joseph A Buresh on November 15, 1955, at Holy Family Catholic Church. The couple then relocated to a farm west of Rogers. Maggie enjoyed being a busy farm wife, working in the garden and helping raise livestock. After the couple moved to Columbus in 1991, she worked over 10 years at Little King. Maggie was a devoted member to St. Isidore Catholic Church, where she was an E.M.E. and a team leader for the R.C.I.A. class for many years. She also helped present the rose at Baptisms for babies and was a member of Mothers for the Knights of Columbus with her husband.
