Mabel Etta Cudaback of Columbus died Friday, May 9, 2008 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Mabel Etta Cudaback was born May 5, 1939 in Paxton, Illinois to Earl and Dorothy (Ratliff) Patton. She grew up in Champaign, Illinois and received her education there. On June 7, 1958 she was united in marriage to Ronald Lewis Cudaback at the Methodist Church in Champaign. They lived in Rapid City, SD and in Amarillo, Texas while Ron was in the service. They moved to David City and finally to Columbus in 1961. She was the mother of 4 girls and was a housewife along with being a caregiver for her grandchildren. She did a lot of sewing, crocheting, and embroidery work for her kids and family. She use to love to bowl and play bingo. On June 7 of this year her and Ron would have been married for 50 years.

She is survived by:

Daughter Wanda (Leonard) Seckman of Norfolk
Daughter Linda (Keith) Ferguson of Columbus
Daughter Debra (Roger) Streblow of Humphrey
Daughter Mary (Ryan) Lockner of Columbus
Brother Frank (Margaret) Patton of Oakland, Il
8 Grandchildren-Lance, Travis, George, Mellissa, Nellie, Natalie, Casandra, and Damien

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
