Lyle Delozier

Lyle Ellis Delozier, age 88, of Columbus, Nebraska died Thursday October 9, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services 10:30 a.m. Monday October 13, 2003 at the McKown Funeral Chapel in Columbus with Reverend William Effa officiating. Graveside Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Magnet Cemetery in Magnet, Nebraska. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Lyle Ellis Delozier was born March 27, 1915 in Randolph, Nebraska to Reuben Thomas and Maggie Beatrice (McClain) Delozier. He grew up and attended school in Randolph. On March 27, 1937 he was united in marriage to Lucille I. VanKirk in Yankton, South Dakota. Lyle farmed in the Hartington and Randolph area until 1960 when they moved to Columbus. He worked for Soil Movers until 1962 and then started Lyle's Surge Service until 1964. He then worked for A. Glenn Kluck Feedlots until retiring in 1980.
