Lulu Ryan of Columbus died Friday, February 13, 2015 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Lulu Ryan was born June 21, 1928 in Davenport, NE to Vivan and Beatrice (Van Slyke) Jewell. She grew up in Davenport where she graduated and began her teaching career at the age of 16. Lulu taught for over 40 years prior to her retirement. Lulu's family was her first love. She also loved traveling, gardening, reading, and her animals.
She is survived by:
Daughter Vallorie Sestito of Omaha
Daughter Viann (Sam) Augustine of Omaha
Daughter Kelli (Jeff) Olson of Columbus
Grandchildren: Kathryn (Matt) Gray, Sara Zabawa, Erin (Mike) Stuedemann, Ann (Justin) Droll, Steve (Ann) Augustine, Cassandra (Bugra Durukan) Ryan, Mitchell Ryan, and Tessa Ryan
8 Great Grandchildren: Joseph, Raymond, and William Stuedemann, Charles and Henry Gray, Jenna and Jordan Droll, Adeline Augustine

First Husband Virgil Volkmer
Second Husband William Ryan
3 Sisters: Lila Lowery, Dorothy Lonsdale, and Donna Kershner
