Luetta Curran

LuEtta Curran, 90, of Columbus died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

LuEtta "Lu" Curran was born June 5, 1928 in Holt County at her grandmother's house. She was the daughter of Andrew and Myrtle (Hennifin) Johnson.  LuEtta grew up in O'Neill and graduated from O'Neill High School in 1945.  She married Dale Curran on December 11, 1945 in O'Neill.  They lived in O'Neill until moving to Columbus in 1963.  In 1965, LuEtta went to work at BD's for 25 years, retiring in 1991.  In 2001 she went to work at Emerson School in the kitchen until 2011.  LuEtta was a wonderful cook and was known to many as "Grandma Honey".  Much of her life was dedicated to loving and nurturing her family and friends.

LuEtta was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Theresa Sodality, BD Alumni Association, and the Eagle's Auxiliary

Daughter: Mary (Bryan) Niedfelt of Grand Island, NE
