Louise Stark

Louise Stark, 89 of Columbus, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at Emerald Nursing and Rehab.

Memorial Services are 6:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus.

Louise Stark was born October 10, 1930 in Martinsburg, Nebraska to Adolph and Paula Stark. She attended Modesto Community College and graduated from San Jose State University, San Jose, California. She also attended the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. Louise served in the US Air Force from 1949 – 1953 and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. She taught school for 12 years in the San Juan School District, Carmichael, California and 15 years in Fairbanks, Alaska. Louise also served with Teen Missions in Egypt in 1986. She was a volunteer teacher of English as a second language in St. Petersburg, Russia and was involved in mission work for the Lutheran Church – MO. Synod in St. Petersburg from 1993 – 1994.
