Louise Cockson

Louise Frances Cockson, age 87, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday January 4, 2004 at the Edgewood Vista in Columbus. Funeral Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday January 7, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church rural Bellwood, Nebraska with Reverend Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial is in the Ss Peter & Mary Presentation Cemetery rural Bellwood. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Louise Frances Cockson was born March 9, 1916 in Polk County, Nebraska to Frank and Josephine (Jarecki) Stachura. She attended St. Stanislaus grade school in Duncan. She married Harold Joseph Cockson on September 26, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church - rural Osceola, Nebraska. Louise lived on a farm south of Columbus her entire life. She was member of St. Joseph's Church - rural Bellwood, Nebraska and the Altar Society. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and dancing.
