Louis Mick

Louis E. Mick, age 88, of Bellwood died Saturday, April 7, 2001 at Mory's Haven in Columbus. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001at St. Peters Catholic Church in Bellwood. Fr. Jeremy Hazuka will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peters-Presentation Cemetery in rural Bellwood. Visitatation will be Monday 3-8 pm at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. The Vigil will be held a 7:00 pm Monday evening at the funeral home in Columbus. Visitation will continue Tuesday 9:30 until service time at the church in Bellwood.

Louis was born April 10, 1912 in Bellwood, Nebraska to Joseph F. & Minnie (Sprunk) Mick. He received his education at District #13 and Bellwood High School. On November 24, 1936 he married Barbara Liss at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Louis farmed for over 42 years in the Bellwood area. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, and the Eagles Club. He served on the Alexis Township board and on the Bellwood Co-op Grain Board.
