Louis Barnas

Louis Barnas, age 81 of Columbus, Ne. formerly of Tarnov, Ne. died Wednesday July 25, 2001 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday July 30, 2001 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Tarnov, Ne. with Reverend Rod Kneifl officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Tarnov, Ne. Visitation is after 4:00 p.m. Sunday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation continues on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church in Tarnov.

Louis Barnas was born April 29, 1920 in Tarnov, Nebraska to Stanley and Sophia (Syslo) Barnas. He attended St. Michael's School in Tarnov. Louis farmed in the Tarnov area and drove truck for Central Sand and Gravel until retiring. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Tarnov.
