Lorraine Kowalski

Lorraine "Laurie" A. Kowalski, age 52, of Columbus died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the Genoa Long Term Care. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, August 21 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Rev. Del Lape officiating. Visitation begins on Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, all at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8:00 -10:00 am also at the funeral home. Interment is in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Laurie Kowalski was born April 22, 1954 in Fullerton, Nebraska to Andrew and Loretta (Glaser) Voichoskie. She attended grade school in Silver Creek and graduated from high school in Columbus. She married Jerry Kowalski on February 21, 1976 at St. Isidore Church in Columbus. Laurie worked as a nurse's aide at Mory's Haven, a med aide at Region IV Northstar, and the last 4 years as a med aide at Edgewood Vista. Her hobbies included crocheting, playing the harmonica, and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
