Lorraine Egger of Columbus, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care in Central City.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. There will be a vigil service 7:00 pm Wednesday at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday 5-7 pm and Thursday morning 8:30-10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St Bonaventure Cemetery
Lorraine "Shorty" Egger was born December 4, 1931 in Tarnov, Nebraska to John and Elizabeth (Stachura) Pier. She was raised in Tarnov and graduated from Columbus High School. She married Robert Egger on February 23, 1952 at St. Anthony Church in Columbus. They lived in Columbus and she worked for 44 years at Dales Electronics as a test technician. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and the Eagles Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. Shorty enjoyed bowling, bingo, bus tours, playing cards, cooking, her numerous friends and going to WinneVegas.

Daughter: Janelle (Dan) Schneiderheinz of Central City, NE
Grandsons: Tucker and Tanner Schneiderheinz of Central City, NE
She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Elizabeth Pier and husband: Robert Egger, sister: Evelyn Winters
