Lorene Smith, 74, of Columbus passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her home.
Lorene was born on May 15, 1943 in Fair Oaks, PA to Alfred and Virginia (Siple) Smith. After high school she earned her nurses aide certification from DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda, NY. On March 30, 1963 she married Kenneth Griswold in Tonawanda, NY. Three daughters were born from this union. When 2 of her daughters moved to Nebraska, she also moved out and started working at Mory's Haven in Columbus until her retirement. Lorene was an avid reader and had a great love for her grandchildren and frogs.
Lorene is survived by her Daughters: Andrea (Richard) Dozier of Schuyler, Cynthia (Merle) Goot of Sinclairville, NY, Deneen (Mark) Champlin of Lockport, NY. Seven Grandchildren: Ryan Goot, Christopher Dozier, Matthew Dozier, Caitlin Dozier, Spencer Champlin, Brent Goot, Alex Champlin and Great-Granddaughter, Naomi Dozier.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kenneth in 2000.
