Loren D. Crumley of Columbus died Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Loren D. Crumley was born January 17, 1923 in Sparks, OK to Charles and Margaret (Blemmel) Crumley. He lived in Oklahoma until 1929 when the family moved to Platte Center, NE. In 1936 he moved North of Columbus. He attended Platte Center Elementary School and Kramer High School. As a child Loren helped chop cotton and pick corn for his family. Loren married Elsie Bruckner on December 7, 1946 in Glenwood, IA. Loren worked in automobile sales for over 50 years. He sold cars for the George Ewert Motor Company, the Charlie Ball Motor Company, Wertz-Christensens, and 22 years for Dan and Joe Cerny at Columbus Motors. He was a member of St. Luke's-United Church of Christ and the Eagles Club where he was the past president.
