Lisa (Zakrzewski) Herfel

Lisa M. (Zakrzewski) Herfel died peacefully Wednesday at the Emerald Nursing Care in Columbus, NE after complications related to her battle with Parkinson's disease.

Private family burial services to be held at a later date.

Lisa M. Herfel was born August 11 ^th , 1971 in Columbus, NE to Edward and Betty (Kush) Zakrzewski.  She grew up in the Columbus, NE, Red Oak, IA and Norfolk, NE areas.  She graduated from Columbus Lakeview High School in 1989.  Lisa loved listening to Christian music, going for long walks and runs, spending time with family playing cards & watching Nebraska football and volleyball.  She loved animals, especially her cats Petey and Rosco.  She was actively involved with the church in Neligh, NE and enjoyed watching services online.  One of the happiest days of her life came on March 24 ^th , 2011, when she gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Alexandra.
