Linda Kruse, 60, of Columbus died Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Cottonwood House in Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial is 9:30 am Saturday, June 2 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Visitation is on Friday from 3:00 -6:30 pm at McKown Funeral Home. There will be a Vigil service at 8:00 pm Friday at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation continues Saturday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 am at St. Isidore Church. Interment is in Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery by Platte Center.
Linda S. Kruse was born September 12, 1946 in Burlington, Colorado to Ralph and Germaine (Albracht) Schmidt. She grew up in Stratton, Colorado and moved to Platte Center where she graduated from Platte Center High School in 1964. She then attended Kearney State College. On July 29, 1967 she was united in marriage to Gary A. Kruse in Platte Center. Linda was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She was a member of the Modern Mrs. Club and spent Friday afternoons playing cards with her friends. She was wonderful with people and touched many lives through the medical offices with her most recent employment in the Hematology and Oncology Associates as the office manager. Linda enjoyed going on walks and reading a good book. She loved spending time with her friends and family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
