Linda Dilfer, 57, of Columbus died Monday, July 25, 2005 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday at the Lawrence Funeral Home in Chicago, Illinois. Visitation is from 2-3:30 pm Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus, NE with a Vigil service at 3:30 pm, also at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in the Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago.
Linda D. Dilfer was born with her twin brother on September 16, 1947 in Chicago to Frank and Ann (Sitter) Lepey. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in Chicago. She married Harry Dilfer on November 27, 1965 in Chicago. The couple raised two children, Lance and Dawn. Linda started her career in insurance at Peerless Federal Savings and Loan. The family moved to Columbus in 1987 where she completed a career that lasted 14 years as Claims Manager at American Heartland Insurance Agency. Linda enjoyed gardening, snowmobiling, camping, boating, and traveling. While in Chicago she was a member of St. Constance Church and in Columbus she was a member of St. Isidore Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
