Lillian Rowlands

Lillian Rowlands, age 74, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday April 23, 2002 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday April 26, 2002 at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus with Reverend Tom Weisbecker officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.

Lillian was born May 27, 1927 in Columbus, Nebraska to Frank and Lillian (Berney) Dietz. She graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus and attended Duschene College in Omaha. She returned to Columbus where she worked for N.P.P.S. She married Donald E. Rowlands on November 7, 1948 at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. From 1972-1983 they lived in York until returning to Columbus. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and their dogs. She also enjoyed playing bridge and dancing. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus.
