Lester Zoucha

Lester S. Zoucha, age 72, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday; September 25, 2001 at the Columbus Comunity Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday; September 29, 2001 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Christopher Grimond will officiate. Visitation will be Friday 3-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard.

Lester Zoucha was born June 30, 1929 in the Humphrey, Nebraska area to Joseph E. and Cecelia (Torczon) Zoucha. He received his early education in Tarnov and graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus in 1947. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from April 1949 to August 1952. Lester worked for Sears in Columbus for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Council #938, Life Member of V.F.W. Post #3704 and Life member of American Legion Post #84.
