Leonia "Lee" M. Jensen age 82 of Columbus died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Zurek will officiate. Visiation is Sunday 4-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home and Monday 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery.
Leonia M. "Lee" Jensen was born April 25, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska to Rasmus H. and Marie (Hougessen) Jensen. She received her education at Waterloo, Nebraska and graduated from Omaha Tech in 1943. She worked in Los Angeles for four years at the Paul Henry Airplane Engine Plant. She married Robert Hurner on October 25, 1944 in Oakland, California. They lived in Monroe before moving into Columbus. Robert died in 1973. She later married Jake Mohr and lived in Monroe. Along with raising her family she worked at Tempo in Columbus until her retirement in 1980. She married Hans Jensen on March 6, 1987. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling, fishing and crafting.
