Leonard J. Kropatsch, age 87, of rural Osceola, Nebraska died Friday January 18, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Center in Osceola. Funeral Services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday January 22, 2002 at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan, Nebraska with Fr. Dave Korth officiating. Burial will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation begins after 4:00 p.m. Monday with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Leonard J. Kropatsch was born September 17, 1914 to Hubert and Paulina (Hapday) Kropatsch on the family farm near Osceola, Nebraska. He attended District #39 School. On August 27, 1940 he was united in marriage to Tillie A. Germata at St. Andrew's Catholic Church rural Osceola, Nebraska. Leonard lived and farmed in rural Osceola until moving to the Good Samaritan Home in Osceola on September of 2001. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan, Holy Name and past member of the District #39 School Board. Leonard enjoyed listening to Polish Music.
