Leonard Dush

Leonard Dush, age 91, died Thursday, July 21, 2022, at home surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Wednesday, July 27 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan.  Visitation is on Tuesday from 4-7 pm with a 7:00 pm Rosary to follow, all at the Church.  Visitation continues on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time at the church.  Interment is in St. Stanislaus Cemetery with Military Honors by Hartman post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.

Leonard Dush was born November 13, 1930 in Duncan to John and Victoria (Starostka) Dush. He grew up in Duncan where he attended school. Leonard served in the US Army in Germany and served during the Korean War. Leonard worked various jobs throughout his life and retired from the railroad after 27 years.

Leonard married Esther Shefcyk on May 18, 1957 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus.

Leonard enjoyed raising bulls, cows, chickens, and pigs. He loved the farm life, fishing, mushroom hunting, playing cards, farm sales, dances, and watching wrestling. Most of his life was spent at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan and was currently a member of Ss. Peter/Paul Church in St. Paul.
