Leonard A. Drozd, age 83, of Duncan died Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.
Leonard was born November 4, 1928 in Merrick County, Nebraska to Tony and Marie (Lassek) Drozd. He grew up in the Silver Creek area and graduated from Duncan High School in 1946. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He married Bernice Sempek on September 1, 1953 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Genoa. Leonard farmed in the Duncan area and worked for Laska Well Drilling and Behlen Mfg. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, cards, casinos, horse racing and working crossword puzzles. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and Holy Name Society.

Wife: Bernice of Duncan, daughters: Cindy (Bill) Hoshor of Bellwood, Cathy (Bob) Huss of Columbus, Sons: Eugene (Elaine) of Duncan, Kenneth (Denise Fritz) of Tucson, AZ. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, 5 step gandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter: Denise Klassen
