Leonard "Shorty" Bialas of Columbus died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.
Leonard was born December 20, 1926 in Nance County to Charles and Mary (Sturek) Bialas. He grew up on the family farm. Shorty owned the Mobile Station in Fullerton for 21 years. On November 21, 1974 he was united in marriage to Alice Mimick at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. They made their home in Columbus where Leonard ran Shorty's Bicycle Shop until retirement. Leonard was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he was involved in Perpetual Adoration. He loved fishing, hunting, playing cards, and polka music.
