Leona Kozisek

Leona A. Kozisek, age 91, of David City, formerly of Silver Creek, died Saturday, August 20, 2011 at David Place in David City.

Leona A. Kozisek was born August 16, 1920 in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska to Nekolas and Mary Sauser. She graduated from Cedar Rapids High School in 1939. In 1945 she moved to Omaha to work. She married Jerry Kozisek on April 19, 1950 in Omaha. They lived by Schuyler until 1961 when they moved to Silver Creek where they farmed until 1972. She continued living in Silver Creek until 1993 when she moved to Central City. Leona moved to David Place in 2003. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek and a member of the Altar Society. Leona was very good cook. She enjoyed getting to know and visiting with others, playing pitch and scrabble, and following current events.
