Leona M. Brewer

Leona M. Brewer of Columbus died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Mory's Haven in Columbus.

Leona M. Brewer was born February 14, 1923 in Columbus to Carl M. and Edith (Bader) Kneifel. She attended Columbus City Schools before going on to St. Bonaventure High School from which she graduated in 1940. On May 20, 1942 she married Clayton K. Brewer at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. She worked as a secretary for C.H. Garlow, Dr. Mc Gowan, and at American Optical in Cheyenne, WY and Montgomery Ward in Columbus, NE. Her and her husband also owned Memory Lane Antiques. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and the C.D.A.. She collected antiques, liked square dancing, theater shows, and traveling.
