Leon "Sharky" L. Cynova, 72, of Columbus died Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus. Memorial Services are 2:00 pm Thursday, February 22 at St. Luke's Congregational Church-UCC with Rev. Ray Torrez officiating. There will be a public visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.

Leon "Sharky" Cynova was born October 8, 1934 in Loup City, NE to Alex and Clara (Grudzinski) Cynova. He grew up in Columbus and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School. Leon married Mary Lou Adkisson and later married Joyce Koca. On October 8, 2005 he was united in marriage to Maxine Badje. Leon owned and operated Sharky's Transmission. Sharky played in various bands, most notably the "Kracker Jacks". He loved music and dancing. Sharky was a member of St. Luke's Church.
