Leo Swolek

Leo J. Swolek, age 92, of Columbus died Wednesday; April 18, 2001 at the Columbus Manor. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday; April 21, 2001 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Richard Swolek officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the McKown Funeral Home. A vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Leo received his education in Columbus, Nebraska. He married Veronica Obal on January 31, 1937 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Leo worked as a maintainance supervisor for the Nebraska State Department of Roads until his retirement in 1971. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. Leo enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
