Leo Kalinowski

Leo Kalinowski died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Columbus Care and Rehabilitation.

Leo J. Kalinowski was born September 22, 1926, the youngest of nineteen children, in Farwell, Nebraska to Joseph A. and Ursula (Chlopek) Kalinowski. He grew up and attended schools in Farwell. In 1953 he married Agnes Czapla. Following her death in 1985, he later married Lucille Knust on June 17, 1995 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Leo farmed, worked for the railroad and a vending company before going to work for AT&T in 1969 until retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Perpetual Adoration, Eucharistic Minister and sang in the church choir. Leo enjoyed polka music, dancing, gardening and doing small repair jobs.
