Leesa Louise Rains, age 48, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday August 5, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday August 8, 2003 at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with Reverend Thomas G. Volker and Reverend Ernest G. Smith officiating. Burial will be the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the Church. A Family Prayer Service will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday also at the Church.

Leesa Louise Rains was born October 13, 1954 in Columbus to Rodney and Ula (Jensen) Jacobson. She attended District #22 grade school, Columbus Jr. High and graduated from Columbus High School in 1972. Following High School She attended Platte College & worked at Behlen Manufacturing. On April 19,1980 She was united in marriage to John Rains, Jr. at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. Leesa was a homemaker & also had worked for Dale Electronics and Frontier Directory. Leesa was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and Midweek, Second Milers Club and MOPS. She enjoyed gardening.
