Lee was called to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the David Place in David City, Nebraska.
Leander J. Hajek was born January 2, 1921 in Linwood, Nebraska to John and Frances (Hobza) Hajek. He grew up on a farm near Linwood. Leander served in the U.S. Army during WWII from August 1942 - November 1945. He married Erma A. Hajek on August 22, 1946 at St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Clarkson, Nebraska. They lived on a farm north of Clarkson for 15 years before moving to Columbus. Lee worked for Dale Electronics until retirement. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, bowling, playing the accordion and listening to polka music. He was a member of St. Anthony Church, Holy Hour and served meals on wheels.

Sister: Gert Harkner of Millston, WI
Fifteen Grandchildren and Twenty-one Great Grandchildren
