Laura Sock

Laura M. Sock, age 94, died Sunday December 7, 2003 at the Genoa Community Long Term Care in Genoa, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:30 am Wednesday, December 10 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek with the Rev. Frank Jindra officiating. Visitation begins on Tuesday after 5 pm at St. Lawrence Church in Silver Creek with a Vigil service at 7 pm Tuesday, also at the church. Visitation continues Wednesday morning from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Burial is in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Laura M. Sock was born December 6, 1909 in Duncan, Nebraska to Frank and Helen (Czapla) Sokol. She grew up in Boone and Platte County, Nebraska. On August 18, 1930 she was united in marriage to Charles G. Sock in St. Edward, Nebraska. She lived in Silver Creek until moving to Columbus in 1989. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church, St. Lawrence Altar Society, and was active in the church choir.
