Larry Lewis

Larry Lewis, age 91, died Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation is Monday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.  followed by a vigil service at 5:00 p.m., all occurring at the Church. Interment is in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, Nebraska on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.

Memorials may be designated to donors choice.

Larry L. Lewis was born June 22, 1933, to Lawrence V. and Cleol A.  (Robinson) Lewis in Cumberland, Iowa. He graduated from Cumberland High School class of 1951. On June 15, 1954, Larry was united in marriage to Helen V. Odendahl at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburn, Iowa. Larry was a Korean Conflict  veteran. Larry was a Staff Sargeant in the Army serving from June of 1953 until May of 1955.  He worked in telecommunications and was a Supervisor for Western Electric- AT&T Network Systems for 37 years, retiring in 1989. While living in Hastings he was a member of St. Michael's Church. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks, and most recently St. Isidore Catholic Church . He enjoyed watching his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids participate in activities and loved traveling with his wife, Helen. He also loved his Cadillacs and Buicks.
