In lieu of plants and flowers, the family requests memorials be designated to the Boone County Health Center.

Larry was born October 25, 1941, to John and Mable (Williams) Cherry in Genoa, Nebraska. He attended school and graduated from Genoa High School. Larry was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kathleen Borg, on October 25, 1959. The two continued the Cherry family legacy, raising their family and living on the Cherry family farm.

Larry was an avid cattle feeder and agriculture enthusiast his entire life. This was not only a career, but a passion of his that he gradually passed down to the next generation in his later years. Even after "slowing down," it was not uncommon to see him frequent area cattle sales, especially at the Columbus Sales Pavilion.

Larry was a true family man. He enjoyed being visited by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Larry was always known to be the ornery one at holidays and get-togethers. You would often find him heckling his wife, Kay, or egging on the grandchildren into something that was mischievous.

Larry was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
