Larry "Crunch Bird" Kush, 74, of Columbus died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. Del Lape will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a vigil Friday evening 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday morning 8-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Lawrence J. "Larry" Kush was born November 21, 1931 in Columbus, Nebraska to Thomas and Vera (Stock) Kush. He received his education at St. Bonaventure High School. Larry was married to Phyllis Kosiba on October 10, 1950 in Columbus, Nebraska. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad and Behlen Manufacturing He also worked as a mill wright building grain elevators throughout the midwest and as a self employed painter. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents
