Kimberly Jean Koza-Schroeder, age 49, of Columbus, died at her home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
Kim was born on October 17, 1966 in Columbus, Nebraska to Lawrence "Larry" and Delores "Dee" (Cutsor) Koza. Kim attended high school in Silver Creek, graduating in 1985. She excelled in basketball and track and played basketball at Central Community College in Columbus, and later attained her Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice from Bellevue University. Kim was united in marriage to Kelly Schroeder at St. Anthony Catholic Church on August 26, 1995. They were blessed with three sons, Blake (20), Layne (16) and Payton (11). She was employed at Southwest Airlines since 1999 as a flight attendant. Additionally, Kim loved helping people with disabilities. She enjoyed her work as a flight attendant, spending time at the lake, but most of all being with her three sons. She thoroughly enjoyed cheering on her boys at their baseball games and golf tournaments. She loved her sons, in her own words, "so much that you will never understand until you have children of your own".
Kim was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Linda Prososki.
Survivors remaining to cherish her loving memory are her sons, Blake, Layne and Payton.
