Kenneth died Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Kenneth D. Schultz was born October 27, 1926 in Gresham, Nebraska to Robert and Josie (Hall) Schultz. He grew up in Gresham and York. Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from March 1945 - July 1946. Upon returning from the Navy he married Lois Wullenwaber on April 5, 1947 in Belleville, Kansas. Ken's life work included restaurants, farming and ranching. He especially enjoyed family gatherings, driving to the ranches and farms and overseeing his livestock operations. Kenneth was a member of the Federated Church, Elks Club and the York American Legion Bolton Post #19.

He is survived by:

Son: Terry (Holly) Schultz of Duncan, NE
Daughter: Jane (Dean) Heiden of Bartlett, NE
Grandchildren: Tracy (Tom) Gardner of Grand Island; Corey (Lindsey) Heiden of Fremont; Melissa Schultz of Columbus; Brandi (Doug) Pokorny of Bartlett; Travis (Megan) Schultz of Duncan.
Great Grandchildren: Grady, Bayley, Mitchell Gardner; Hayley, Hannah, Shelby, Emma Heiden; Trevor & Mallery Schultz; Talli, Gracie, Ryder Pokorny; Tanner Schultz.
