Kenneth "Kenny" Podany

Kenneth John Podany 36, of Platte Center, died Monday, October 20,2025 peacefully surrounded by family at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital from an aggressive battle of Cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 27 at St. Isidore Church. Visitation is Sunday from 5-7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil service to follow, all occurring at the church. Interment is in St Patrick/Joseph Cemetery in rural Platte Center.

In lieu of plants and flowers, please designate memorials to the Podany family.

Kenneth John Podany was born November 25, 1988 in Columbus to Kenneth and Cindy (Johnson) Podany. He grew up in Platte Center and graduated from Lakeview High School. He attended Versatile and worked different jobs. His passion was bowling and playing basketball through Special Olympics, watching his nieces and nephews play sports. Kenny loved watching Husker Football, Husker Volleyball and was a Huge Green Bay Packers fan. He was the biggest supporter of Lakeview and Columbus softball teams and many more teams. He loved his Lakeview Football. He made new Friends wherever he went and gave Hugs that made a lifetime impact. His smile and wave turned strangers to Friends in No time. His laugh was contagious, and his love for life made us blessed to be part of.
