Kenneth T. Bogus, age 79 of Columbus died Tuesday; August 3, 2004 at Bryan LGH-East in Lincoln. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday; August 6, 2004 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. The Rev. Tom Weisbecker will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday 3-8 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service all at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Friday morning 8:00 until 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery in rural Platte Center. Military honors will be performed by American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard.
Kenneth Thomas Bogus was born December 5, 1924 in Platte Center, Nebraska to Joseph and Anna (Stapf) Bogus. He graduated from Platte Center High School in 1942. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1943-1946. He was married to Dolores C. Sindelar on April 26, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. He worked for Behlen Manufacturing over 20 years as a truck driver. He also owned and operated the Rainbow Room in Columbus. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #3704. He enjoyed hunting, fishing camping and gardening. Kenne was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and the Chicago Cubs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Kathy; and 1 brother Carroll.
