Kay Sindelar, age 57, of Columbus, Nebraska died Thursday July 4, 2002 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday July 8, 2002 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Reverend Harold Kurtenbach and the Reverend Christopher Grimmond officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Monday from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
Kay L. Sindelar was born April 6, 1945 in Hunter, North Dakota to Oscar J. and Helen (McClaflin) Korup. She graduated from Valley City High School in Valley, North Dakota in 1963. She moved to Columbus in 1964 where she has continued to live since. Kay was married to Larry Sindelar on September 28, 1968 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus, Nebraska. Along with raising her family Kay has worked for the past 14 years as a secretary for Judge Stenke in the Platte County District Court. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was a member and past president of St. Theresa Sodality.
