Kay E. Pfeiffer, age 51, of Columbus died Thursday, May 31. 2012 at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Kay E. Pfeiffer was born October 13, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska to Richard and Faye (Dover) Stivers. She grew up in Union and graduated from high school in Nehwaka, Nebraska. Kay then continued her education at Southeast Community College in Milford. She married Richard Pfeiffer on December 15, 1979 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paul, Nebraska. She moved to Columbus in 1981. She has worked at Columbus Bank and Trust for 31 years as operations officer. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Kay enjoyed her grandchildren, camping, four wheeling and shopping with the girls.
She is survived by her husband: Rick of Columbus, daughter: Lisa (Kevin) Perrin of Columbus, son: Matt (Brandice) Pfeiffer of Grand Island, sister: Michelle (Jim) Hanson of Omaha, grandsons: Hayden and Logan Pfeiffer of Grand Island, granddaughters: Celine and Elyena Perrin of Columbus, mother & stepfather: Faye & Doil Peckumn of Del Norte, CO, father & stepmother: Richard & Rhonda Stivers of Auburn, NE, mother-in-law: Shirley Pfeiffer of Talmage, NE, sister-in-laws: Betty (Rick) Kuehn of Eddyville, NE, Lora (Kevin) Barrett of Nebraska City, brother-in-law: Larry (Teresa) Pfeiffer of Cook, NE.
She was preceded in death by her brother: Michael Stivers, grandparents: Earl & Onilee Stivers, Ralph & Eva Dover, great grandmother: Nettie Nincehelser, father-in-law: Glen Pfeiffer
