Kathleen M Landkamer 92, died on September 21, 2013 at her home with her family present.

Kathleen was born to Michael and Mary (Daringer) Hergott on June 4, 1921 in Gilead, Nebraska. On November 29, 1947 she was united in marriage to Michael F. Landkamer at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hebron, Nebraska. To this union were born 3 sons Michael J. Landkamer, Columbus, NE Dick Landkamer, Wichita, KS and Jerry Landkamer, Norfolk, NE.
Kathleen lived in Fairbury, NE with her husband Michael before moving to Columbus, in 1953. She worked at Dales, St. Bonaventure School Cafeteria, Hinky Dinky and McChristy Jewelry before retiring. After retiring she gave her time to the St. Anthony School Cafeteria. Kathleen was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church for over 40 years and currently a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church. Kathleen was honored as a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for 60 plus years. Kathleen was an active member of the Eagles Auxiliary for 30 years. She served in different offices before serving two terms as vice president. She also served on the Memorial Team for 15 years. She was the Eagles Mother of the Year followed by being chosen as Eagles Grandmother of the Year. She was a Charter Member of the 8&40 Salon 818. She was a Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she held many offices in Hartman Unit 84 and also served as District 7 Secretary. She is a past member of Navy Mothers. Kathleen also served as an Admiral in the Great Nebraska Navy.
Kathleen is the only mother in the Nebraska American Legion family to have two sons serve as State Commander and National Executive Committeeman of The American Legion. She also had one son serve as National Vice Commander of The American Legion. Kathleen loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grand children and her step children, great step and great great step grand children. She was always there to help others. During her illness she was more concerned about how others were doing other than her self. She enjoyed playing cards and going to plays. She just loved being with her family especially her families cooking.

She is survived by her son Michael and his Wife Patricia, grand children Freddilinda, Michael, George and daughter in law Megan. Great grand children Brandon, Brittany, Brayden and Kaitlyn step grand children Todd Stone, Lori Dush, great grand children Nick, AJ, Phillip and Natasha Dush great great grandchild Kaden Dush.
Son Dick and his wife Jeanne of Wichita, KS and grand children Jessica, Lisa, Rebecca, Teresa, Monica, and John. Great grand children Anastasia, Sylvia, Isabella, Oliver.
Son Jerry and his wife Starla of Norfolk, NE and grand child Thomas.
Brothers Don Hergott of Columbus, NE and Edward Hergott of Hebron, NE.
Sister Rose Rauner of Hebron, NE.
Brother in law Jerry Landkamer and his wife Jan of Eljay, GA
Sister in laws Loretta Heibert, of Santa Ana, CA, Sister Donata Landkamer RSM, Omaha, NE, Meg Burbach and Barbara Ledbetter of Lincoln, NE, sister-in-laws Bobbie Landkamer and Virginia Landkamer of Lincoln and many nieces, nephews and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents Michael and Mary Hergott, Father and Mother in Law George J. and Alice Landkamer. Sisters and Brothers in law Lucille and Herman Wiedel, Burnice and Ben Wiedel, Marie and Gerald Helget, Brothers in Law Francis Rauner, Donald Landkamer, Gene Landkamer, Bob Landkamer, Sister in Law and Brother in Law Anna Marie and Donovan Van Westen. Niece Dorothy Hintz, Nephews Ed McLenna, Michael G. Landkamer, Ronny Landkamer.
