Katherine Mohrman, age 89, of Genoa, formerly of Columbus, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Faith Regional Medical Center in Norfolk.
Katherine was born March 4, 1928 in Denver, Colorado to John and Peggy (Lawrence) Smith. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Kramer High School. She married John Mohrman Jr. on September 21, 1947 at the First Baptist Church in Columbus. She and John farmed until moving into Columbus in 1991. Katherine was an accomplished artist. She enjoyed painting, travelling, flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels. She baked cakes and decorated for weddings for many years.
She is survived by:
Daughter: Lou Ann Mohrman of Genoa
Sister: Fran Griffiths of Columbus
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: John and brother: John Smith
