Kari Ann Kunneman, 21, of Columbus died Sunday February 3, 2002 in rural Polk County. Services are 10:30 am Wednesday February 6, 2002 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday after 5 pm at St. Isidore Church with a vigil service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
Kari Ann Kunneman was born October 7, 1980 in Columbus to Richard and Mary Lou (Hoppe) Kunneman. She attended St. Isidore Elementary School and graduated from Scotus Central Catholic High School in 1999. While at Scotus, Kari was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. She also participated in Cross Country and Soccer during high school. She was a member of Barb's School of Dance. She worked at First National Bank and the Quail Run Golf Course during her summer break from college. Kari was currently a junior at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, majoring in nursing. While in Lincoln she worked at Scheel's All Sport. She enjoyed going to the UNL Rec Center to run and work out. She enjoyed her pets, going home to see family, spending time with her friends, shopping, baking, and going to the cabin in Schuyler.
