Karen (Buresh) Afsharimehr of Columbus died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at her home in Columbus.
Karen Afsharimehr was born June 24, 1962 in Columbus to Edward and Jane (Smith) Buresh. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1980. Karen went on to Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she graduated with a degree in Special Education. On June 26, 1985 she was united in marriage to Mehrdad Afsharimehr in Omaha. They lived in Florida where she worked at a detention center for boys. She thoroughly enjoyed her work and was referred to by the residents as Mrs. A. In 2003, Karen returned to Columbus where she has lived since. She loved college football, reading, the Huskers, anything Disney, playing games on family holidays, collecting music boxes and watching movies.

Adopted Canine Children: Angel, Daisy, and Shadow
