June M. Souders of Columbus died Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Brookestone Acres in Columbus.

Funeral Service are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. Visitation is Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in the Roselawn Cemetery.

June Marie Souders was born June 14, 1928 in Red Oak, Iowa to Geroge E. and Eloise V. (Thornton) Eisel. She received her education at Caberg Consolidated School and graduated from Red Oak High School. She worked for the telephone company and National Carbin Company in Red Oak. She was united in marriage to W.G. (Sonny) Souders on June 4, 1950 in Red Oak. In 1956 they moved to Columbus. She worked at the ASCS office until her retirement in 1994. She was a volunteer at the Columbus hospital for 15 years and was active in her Church. June enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling into her 90's and in her younger days fishing with Sonny, and later years going to Nebraska Huskers football games with friend George. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren during the holidays. She was also known for her delicious Peanut Brittle and took pride in making it for family and friends.

June is survived by her sons: Scott (Pam) Souders, Steve (Sue) Souders and her sister: Norma L Whipple.
Grandchildren: Justin (Jennifer) Souders, Nikki (Scott) Moon, Eric (Christine) Souders, Stacy (Pat) Roberts, Sean (Katheryn Skarda) Souders and Amy Bierman.
Great grandchildren: Nolan, Mason, Brynn, Brylie, Bria, Jayde, Jase, Eleanor Sue, Lily, and Russell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Sonny, son: Terry Souders, brothers: Claude, George, Glen and John Eisel.
