June R. Lowry

June died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

June R. Lowry was born July 1, 1911 in Omaha, Nebraska to Fred and Mary (Jarrott) Robbins. She graduated from Omaha Central High School and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. On June 24, 1931 she was united in mariage to Charles E. "Red" Lowry, Sr. They moved to Columbus in August of 1946 where Mr. Lowry operated the Columbus Home Improvement Company. June was an avid golfer and bowler. She bowled until she was 85 years old. She was president of the Ladies Stagette at the Country Club for 5 years and was an avid card player. In the late 60's and 70's she owned and operated June's Antiques. She traveled around doing shows in different parts of the country until retiring in 1980. June was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
