Julian Meyer of Columbus died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Columbus Community Hospital.
Julian E. Meyer was born November 11, 1922 in Columbus to Dr. Julian E. and Tarris (Threefoot) Meyer. He grew up in Columbus. Julian received his BA from Harvard University and did his post-graduate work at the University of Missouri. He served in the US Army from 1943 until 1946 during World War II. Apart from his time at University and in the military, Julian was a life long citizen of Columbus. On April 5, 1951 he was united in marriage to Marie Reifenrath. Julian retired as Executive Vice-President from First National Bank in 1985 after 36 years of service. He remained active as Vice Chairman of the Board of the bank. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Julian also belonged to the Rotary Club, OFC, and the Elks Club.
Julian was well known for his art work, a talent he developed after his retirement from the bank.

He is preceded in death by his parents
