Julia Luebbers

Julia Luebbers, 84, died Sunday July 22, 2001 at Columbus Community Hospital. Services are 1:00 pm Wednesday July 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Osmond with Fr. Alexander Wild and Fr. Roland Peschel officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 6:00 pm Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 11:00 am until service time at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Osmond. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Osmond.

Julia Luebbers was born September 19, 1916 in Plainview, NE to Andrew and Johanna (Hutfless) Book. She graduated from high school in Bonesteel, SD. On September 19, 1940 she married George A. Luebbers in Osmond. She lived in Osmond where she worked as a nurse's aide for 30 years at the Osmond Community Hospital before moving to Columbus in 1996. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Osmond, St. Mary's Guild, and Christian Mothers. Julia was also the co-founder of the Senior Citizens Center in Osmond.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister Wilma Midbon.
